Lab Members

  • Mo Zhang
    Research Trainee 2014-
    MCPHS University
Mo is a graduate student at MCPHS University earning her Masters in Clinical Research and has come to the lab to learn wet bench skills as part of her training. She has quickly mastered cryosectioning, immunohistochemistry, RTqPCR, and PCR genotyping so far this summer.

  • Dan Blackler
    Research Associate
Nephrology | Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center – Friedman Lab
Dan worked with me from April 2010 – April 2012, expanding his list of skills to include in situs, immunohistochemistry, BAC recombineering, and confocal microscopy. He successfully handled several projects while evolving his talent for home brewing. Phenomenal.

  • Ceren Gunes
    Undergraduate Summer Student 2011
    Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey
Ceren spent three months here over the summer doing an expression analysis project using both in situ hybridization techniques and immunohistochemistry that she learned here in the lab as well as dissections of embryonic kidneys, all with great talent and patience. Even in this short period of time, Ceren learned all of this well enough to help train others!

  • Roman Stolyarov
    Undergraduate Summer Student 2011
    Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas
Roman spent the summer here as part of the Harvard Intership Program (HIP) hosted by the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. Though already experienced in an engineering lab, Roman claimed to be a newbie to a molecular biology lab. However, he very quickly picked up the skills for doing an in situ expression analysis project for his HIP assignment. Hopefully his experience here will aid his Kurzweilian endeavor to combine engineering and life science to extend human life. If only he would read Bulgakov’s “The Master and Margarita.”
